Practical Steps Towards Compliance
This event is designed to provide practical assistance to anyone involved with managing and administering a charity, with valuable case studies and advice provided by people who have relevant experiences to share.

Presented in collaboration with Quartet Community Foundation (charity no: 1080418) and with the support of Triodos Bank, the event will also provide an opportunity to network and discuss these important issues with other charity trustees and administrators and subject experts.

The programme will include

Our panel will provide practical ideas and tips on how to prepare for the changes, supported by some ‘walk-through’ charity examples, in areas such as:
Data protection – in particular the GDPR changes (25 May 2018 is ‘GDPR live!’ day); what you need to do and when
Data security and breaches – protecting your charity
Personal privacy/choice issues – coping with individuals ‘right to choose’
Charity communications – especially how to keep them open and effective, as well as lawful and compliant!
Fundraising issues – how you can still make purposeful ‘asks’,  plus ideas on how to deal with the now live ‘opt-out’ system (Fundraising Preference Service)
